Experiential Systems, Inc. (ESI) is an full service challenge course provider that has been building challenge courses and providing staff trainings and annual inspections for over 30 years. ESI was formally incorporated in 1995 and is licensed and fully insured for all services offered.  ESI is a peer reviewed and Accredited Professional Vendor Member (PVM) of the Association for Challenge Course Technology (ACCT). Our key staff have over 100 years of combined experience in the experiential/adventure field. ESI performs construction to meet the written standards of one or a combination of the following organizations: ACCT, American Society for Testing and Materials – International (ASTM) or the Climbing Wall Association (CWA), including all applicable local and federal building codes. ESI conducts trainings to the written standards of one or a combination of the following organizations: ACCT, The Association for Experiential Education (AEE), The American Camp Association (ACA), and ASTM.

ESI designs and installs low challenge courses, high ropes courses, adventure parks, zip tours, and climbing structures. ESI trains instructors and facilitators to lead cooperative activities, low initiative elements, high ropes courses (indoor and outdoor), and climbing walls and towers. ESI conducts technical course inspections, program reviews, and staff certifications for all courses we build as well as those built by our competitors. ESI also offers consultation expertise in marketing, course design, administration, risk management planning and accident review. 

The Purpose of Experiential Systems, Inc:

  • To provide high quality visually pleasing challenge course and climbing structure construction; hands-on, detailed challenge course inspections; comprehensive challenge course staff training and certification for challenge courses and climbing structures; and a wide selection of equipment that meets or exceeds ACCT written standards at reasonable prices.
  • To support the successful development of challenge courses and challenge course programs and aid our clients in delivering their program objectives.
  • To support professional challenge course and education networks by volunteering time to serve on boards, councils and committees for challenge course advancement.
  • To assist in the networking of challenge course programs to help with the advancement of the field of adventure/experiential education and outdoor recreation.

 

Our Professional Staff

Our professional staff have years of experience in the adventure field. All of our lead builders and lead trainers have worked in the challenge course and adventure education fields both facilitating and managing challenge courses. Our staff understands the essential need to design and build a challenge course that is easy to operate and visually pleasing.  Many of our staff members are active within the challenge course and experiential education industry, serving on boards and committees of ACCT, ACA, ASTM and AEE. 

Our staff maintain memberships with, attend, and present at a variety of international, national and local conferences throughout the year including those sponsored by: AEE, ACCT, ACA, ASME, ASTM, CCAC, CWA, NAARSO, The Association for Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (APHERD), Teachers of Experiential Adventure Methodology (TEAM) and others.

Some of the certifications our staff members hold include: Certified Inspector -National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officer (NAARSO); 10 Hour Safety Training for General Industry - OSHA; Rigging Essentials - the Crosby Group; First Aid and CPR – American Red Cross; Aerial Lift Operators certification – OSHA; Level II Challenge Course Practitioner – ACCT; Challenge Course Manager – ACCT; Certified Challenge Course Inspector – ACCT.
