The Zorber Shock absorbing unit is compact and lightweight. When a 220 pound weight is dropped six feet, the maximum arresting force will be less than 900 pounds. This reduction of arresting force may reduce the possibility of injury to the participant or employee during a fall. The Zorber is activated by a force of approximately 450 pounds.
Usually required if you're clipping to bolts, steel beams and other solid anchor points. May not be mandatory when anchoring to overhead cables and energy absorbing anchor systems. These may be used as top end of anchor tethers in some circumstances.
